For the day the music died
For three musicians.
It’s the 50th anniversary of The Day the Music Died. Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper died in a plane crash in 1959. Don McLean wrote a song called “American Pie” that is about this incident, but he’s said to be very closed-mouthed about the meaning of the lyrics. A quick internet search reveals several interpretations. Also, ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic did a parody called “The Saga Begins” about the new “Star Wars” movie.
