Today is Barbershop Music Appreciation Day, Embrace Your Geekness Day, and Fool’s Paradise Day.

I actually do like barbershop music.  I like the harmonization of it.  I’m reminded of MAD TVs gangsta shop quartet skit; that’s a bit disturbing.  It’s unsettling to hear barbershop music talking about “capping someone with a gat”.

I’ve already talked about my views on the word geek.  But, despite that, today is a day for the nerds of the world, and that’s pretty neat.

Holiday Insights doesn’t mention the book, but that was what came to mind for me so I decided to include it in my haiku.
