Teddy Bears gather,
In yards, in parks, with their friends,
To have a picnic.
Today is Teddy Bear Picnic Day. I had several stuffed animals as a kid, but the closest I had to a Teddy Bear was a Care Bear. Many of my stuffed animals I got out of those claw games. I’ve become very good at them. I can assess if it’s full enough to get things out, find likely targets, and, after a couple of tries, adjust for sideways movement on decent. I’m not perfect at it, but I think I do well enough to make it worth my time when I decide to try.
I just remembered there’s even a song about it. Looking at the lyrics, I’m thinking that maybe my second line should be, “In the forest, with their friends” or “In the woods, to meet their friends”.
